FASHION
PHOTOGRAPHY

These photos included shoes, dresses, and accessories taken for Ali Salimian’s Iranian brand. First of all, I have chosen salt lake for this collection because all of the products are created in black color, that I needed a minimal place, especially white. Moreover, I used long silk fabric for these photos cause they have eye rotation wrap of the images and create wonderful texture. Above all, I wanted to show that this collection has authority; women gain power after wearing these products.

In this project, I have captured fashion photos for Sepid design, an Iranian fashion brand.

In this project, I have worked with Mugue Design, which is an Iranian fashion brand. I directed the whole project and took photos and videos; the concept was about the butterfly born from its cocoon because of the clothes style I chose this concept.

“Confusion always brings us here, together. All three of us are exactly here, like every year. We are waiting, waiting for the change that informs us from within us every year. Look, this is exactly where we are. Inside the same white spheres in the same cocoons, now it is the time for jumping; this is spring; we have to find our way again, like always”.

RED COLLECTION

Every person is fraught with various feelings. Each person exhibits specific reactions, acts, and movements to their inner feelings, which may change at any time. Every feeling belongs to one person and not to another person. The person can hide feelings within themselves or share them with others. The eyes play an essential role in expressing emotions; the first organ of the body to show emotions is the eye. Of course, it cannot be said that it is the only organ. Every particle of human existence, even the smallest cells, tries to show that inner emotion.

Colours: we live with colors, which are an inseparable element of our lives. Despite the colors, the world around us is formed and becomes visible to us. Everything we see and choose, from nature and living creatures to the choice of dress and needed objects, have colors. Even humans have different and unique colors, and in general, it can be said that the element of color is tied with all the particles of our lives because nothing is without color, even black and white.

Each color has its specific effect and power that can be reminiscent of a subject, a creature, a country, a brand, or part of the beauty of nature, all of which can display emotions.

Humans can express different reactions and emotions to any color in a specific environment, and if photographed, each photo can have different effects on the audience. The red color is the main theme in this collection, so red fabric or red light had used. The models had different ages and genders; they had not been given any posture, and some had been left in the red environment. I tried to show the different feelings of humans in that red environment.

In these photos, the red color was able to show emotions such as isolation, power, fear, and happiness.

In my opinion, each color can engage the emotions and show the audience this feeling more clearly and perhaps in a different and better way.

Of course, the models were placed in front of the camera freely and without any command from the photographer.

Three photos from this collection have been displayed in the group exhibition in Yasmin Gallery, Tehran, 2017, and also two images from this collection have been published in Baban Graphic Yearbook, 2017.
